The Emerging Artist Series
Children of the West
A Solo Exhibition of Works by Kiara Reagan
“Children of the West” is a coloring book that depicts endangered animals and oversized human babies. The babies are all engaged in behaviors that damage the animal they interact with or its habitat. These pages are meant to raise awareness and fuel curiosity about the other animals we share the planet with. This work is distributed both as a bound, 8.5x11inch book, and as printable PDF pages so that a wide audience can engage with it.
Kiara Reagan is a BFA student at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston, MA. She is an interdisciplinary artist creating surreal and satirical narratives. She draws from her point of view as a woman in a patriarchy, a citizen in a country that claims to be secular, a young person in a world that is burning down, and as a body that wants to give and receive care.
