A Solo Exhibition of Works by Nicole Carroll
I am interested in distorting the human figure and images through glass, liquids, collage, pixelation. Colors used in my work point to a dream-like feel, with it’s saturated colors and swirling brushstrokes. I play with the idea of feeling out of touch with reality by portraying how it may look and feel to the person experiencing it. By distorting the figure within their surroundings in various ways, I hope to create an opportunity for the viewer to imagine what it would be like to feel this way.
Nicole Carroll is currently a junior studying painting and printmaking at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
