A collection of work Juried by Professor Forrest Solis

The submissions were strong and widely diverse, which made jurying a pleasure and a challenging task. I selected a range of figurative representations that are formally beautiful and conceptually rich. When distributing awards, I chose large bold unique pieces that feel personal and strange, yet familiar. I find these works intriguing and I desire to learn more about the characters and the psychological spaces in which they exit. I want to personally thank the artists for inciting my curiosity and contributing their voices to the dialogue on representation within figurative art.
