For me, photography is more than just capturing a fleeting moment in time; it's a powerful form of artistic expression that aims to elicit a visceral response from the viewer. I found inspiration from Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. My work is heavily influenced by nature and the act of manipulating images to extend beyond a singular moment. I work with both digital and analog photography, using a range of techniques such as layering negatives, blending images together, and using Adobe Photoshop to produce unique and enigmatic images that communicate a concept, sentiment, or vision. When creating my photographs, I strive to transcend the surface-level image and invite the viewer to appreciate the intricate details of nature, the interplay of colors, and the shapes that emerge from the composition. By combining multiple images, I aim to create a sense of interconnectedness that speaks to the viewer on an emotional level, evoking a reaction or an emotion that is deeper than just the sum of its parts.
