With this drawing I took inspiration from Wayne Thiebaud and Norman Rockwell. The subject is planning a garden party and is engrossed in what she is reading. The background illustrates what she is imagining. The food is loosely based Thiebaud’s style and the overall composition is reminiscent of Rockwell.
