People exist who deny my personhood as an openly transgender individual. In my art practice, I have invented my own cosmology and faith, through which identity becomes a complex set of interacting pieces. This allows me an avenue to question my self as a human being without using the exclusivity (whether intentional or unintentional) of established systems to promote my own acceptance. I explore the sacred nature of humanity through the eyes of a creator; breaking down my own identity, and the broader human identity, to spiritually investigate it.
